Our Mission

The Division of Education of Students with Intellectual Disabilities Program at Hacettepe University;

Aims to educate individuals who can apply current intervention methods in the education of individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families, who are capable of critical thinking and problem-solving, who continuously improve themselves both personally and professionally, who are sensitive to the current needs and challenges of individuals with intellectual disabilities, who respect differences, and who are creative;

Seeks to conduct interdisciplinary research that contributes to the international literature in the field of intellectual disabilities education while adhering to ethical values;

Undertakes the responsibility to develop services that support the development of individuals with intellectual disabilities, act with social responsibility, are sensitive to national issues, collaborate with non-governmental organizations, prioritize public interest, and contribute to the development of the city they live in.

Our Vision

Our vision is to educate special education teachers who conduct high-quality research in the field of intellectual disabilities education, use their knowledge and skills for the benefit of individuals with intellectual disabilities, make a global impact, and lead the future by developing innovative practices.
